We specialise in a bringing highly engaged audiences together with authors to create special and memorable events.
We pride ourselves on our event management and our attention to detail, as well as our author care. Nothing is too much trouble for us and Sarah regularly hosts authors in her own home for meals before or between events. We believe in personal service!
We work closely with publishers and publicists to really understand your aims, needs and requirements. We work hard to secure the best venue for your event and then, through highly effective communication, to let our wide ranging and diverse audience know about the event we are hosting for you.

We love bookselling at events. We began our bookselling careers as festival booksellers and we completely understand the magic that can be created by a child meeting a favourite author, or a grown up meeting a much-admired literary hero! We aim to create very special and memorable events where the magic happens. As such, book signings and meet the author opportunities are encouraged at our events. We pay careful attention to book sales.
We know our audience well and we will always be honest with you. If we think your author is a better fit for one of the other friendly independent bookshops in Birmingham then we will tell you so. We know the right fit with the right audience matters.
As well as first class event management, we can also assist you by providing a light and bright venue for filming promotional content. We regularly host film crews on days when our Bookshop is closed and we can grant you exclusive use of our Bookshop for your set or film location. We have hosted Puffin Books, ITV and BBC.
